In the English language, there is always a distinction between “he” or “she” when referring to the third person.

guys try reading this one…..
My FB feed is full of Miss Universe stuff… I find it silly that many people are proud that Ms. Philippines does not need a translator. Knowing English does not make us any better, pffft. Thats the James Soriano mentality at work.
It’s great she was a finalist though. I just shudder at the faux nationalism that will follow. Graaaah. Again please do not go all “Pinoy Pride”, that’s her achievement, not yours, not ours. Be happy for her, and strive to make your own achievements, big or small just don’t live through someone else.
On a hilarious note I just read “…Next year magpadala na kasi tayo ng Bakla!” Hahah! For sure kabog lahat ang mga contestants ng Planet Earth : )
